Pinus uncinata 'Novak'

Even today, new species of plants are introduced to our gardens. Pinus uncinata ‘Novak’ is one of those additions and is a great addition.

Discovered in the European mountain ranges of the Alps and the Carpathian mountains, uncinata pines and other species are referred to as mountain pines, and sometimes specifically named European mountain pines. ‘Novak’ has traveled quite a distance to be in our garden.

The lustrous short green needles circle white buds that become even more prominent in Winter. Creating a small jewel of a focal point even in the cold winter months.

Growing at less than 3 inches per year, ‘Novak’ can be planted in any size garden to provide both emerald green color and form 365 days a year.
