Picea abie 'Aurea Jacobsen'

There are several types of golden variegated Norway spruce varieties. Many shine brightly in the spring, as their new growth emerges to fill us with awe. ‘Aurea Jacobsen’ is not of this mold, maintaining its color throughout the seasons, with varying intensity, for a golden display every day of the year.

Picea abies ‘Aurea Jacobsen’ also has a unique type of variegation. It is as if the sun has taken up its pallet, and gently brushed the tops of the outer needles with a warm, golden glow, leaving them to contrast with the light green foliage beneath.
Juvenile plants grow at a rate of 1”-3” per year, in a mounding form, but ‘Aurea Jacobsen’ will develop into a narrow upright tree, with mature height of 15’-20’, with a width of only 4’ in 20 years.

‘Aurea Jacobsen’, with its origins as a Norway spruce, is suitable in climates Zone 3 to 7. This climatic flexibility, the narrow, upright habit, and its incredible golden variegation, make it an outstanding selection as a focal point for any size landscape area.

Picea abies 'Acrocona'

Each spring, gardeners await for that first bloom of color in their garden, but what if you could get that same blast of color and also have color and texture for 365 days a year?

Picea abies ‘Acrocona’ produces that same burst of color in spring like annual and perennial flowers. ‘Acrocona’ produces stunning violet-colored cones at the end of its branches even at a young age. As the cones mature, they change in color from the young violet color to a yellow-green and finishing as a mahogany brown mature cone.

Not only do the cones provide a stunning display each spring, the new growth of needles is lime green contrasting the rich forest green of last year's growth.

The form of this plant is greatly shaped by it’s unique habit of producing cones at the end of branch tips, allowing the plant to grow far wider then tall with a mounding habit unique amongst Norway spruce.

For those that await the moment in spring when flowers bloom, ‘Acrocona’ will provide that color and 365 days of color and additional value.
