Chamaecyparis nootkatensis 'Van Den Aker'

Zone 5-7
Growth rate +6" per year

One of the must-have trees for any size landscape. 'Van Den Aker' was discovered in Oregon and is an extremely narrow weeping cultivated variety of Alaskan Cedar.

Alaskan Cedars have a natural weeping habit, but 'Van Den Aker' literally stands apart. It can grow near one foot per year once it's established and will not be wider than 1-2 feet at the base but can be as tall as 15 feet at 10 years old.

These trees originate from an area with ample moisture and do appreciate the same in the garden to get established.

One of these trees planted in a bed of annuals or perennials flowers will provide a stunning focal point that can be a centerpiece of your garden.
